Advanced Electronic Designs is One of Inc. Magazine's Best Workplaces 2019

Bozeman, MT (May 16, 2019) – Advanced Electronic Designs (AED) is happy to announce it has been named one of the nation’s best places to work in 2019. This achievement comes on the heels of being recognized as one of Inc 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2018, a Top Montana Tech Employer by MHTBA, and Employer of Choice by the Montana State Employers Council and JSEC.

Hitting newsstands May 28 in the June 2019 issue, and as part of a prominent Inc.com feature, the list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits. Collecting data on nearly 2,000 submissions, Inc. singled out 346 finalists.

The strongest engagement scores came from companies that prioritize the most human elements of work. These companies are leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity. It’s a different playbook from a decade ago, when too many firms used the same template: free food, open work environments, and artifacts of “fun.”

AED’s appearance on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list couldn’t have come at a better time. Today marks the 25th anniversary of the company’s inception.

“If you were to tell me twenty-five years ago that AED would be receiving national recognition at the behest of an entire team of AED employees and Inc. Magazine judges, I would have called you crazy,” said Bryan Robertus.

In its infancy, AED was a one-man show in a residential basement. Bryan Robertus founded the company in 1994 and claimed he would never hire employees; that the administrative burden that accompanied business ownership was less appealing than pursuing his passion of engineering. As it turned out, other individuals crossed Bryan’s path who were equally passionate about pursuing their professions, and the rest is history.

“The day someone comes to work saying, “I hate my job.” is the day we know we’ve done something terribly wrong,” said Bryan Robertus, President of AED.
